Joseph Semas, Jr

Middletown, RI - Joseph Mickey Semas, 88, of 9 Bayview Park, Middletown, RI, died Sunday, November 9, 2008 at home. He was the husband of the late Roselina Rodericks Semas and the late Beatrice Souza Semas. Born in Middletown, RI on September 14, 1920, he was the son of the late Joseph Semas, Jr. and Maria Semas. Mickey worked for the RI State Department of Transportation for thirty one years and went on to work for Mello Construction for twenty six years. He was a long time altar server at St. Lucys Church. He is survived by a son Joseph J. Semas III of Stark, ME, his daughter Evelyn Pine of Tiverton, RI, eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.He was the brother of the late Albino Simas, Manuel Simas, Antone Simas and Blanche Simas. His funeral will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2008, at 10:00 am in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.Calling hours will be held Saturday, November 15, 2008, from 9-10am in the funeral home.
