Joseph Vincent Dugas

J. Vincent Dugas, 82, of Portsmouth, passed away at home Friday, May 29, 2015. He was the husband of Patricia M. (Shonk) Stearn Dugas.Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Theodore and Harriet (Burns) Dugas.Mr. Dugas worked as a Real Estate Broker for many years. He was an avid sailor, artist and published author who enjoyed hobbies including cooking and antique collecting. He and his wife loved to travel, especially to Disney World and Boothbay Harbor, Maine. Vin was an inventor, who could fix just about anything.Besides his wife, he leaves a sister Harriet Gray of Fairhaven, MA, his mother-in-law Peg Shonk of Shavertown, PA and his brother and sister-in-law Ted and Tina Shonk of Swoyersville, PA; as well as many nieces and nephews and dear friends.Funeral Services for Mr. Dugas are private.Because of his love of animals, donations in his memory may be made to the Robert Potter League, PO Box 412, Newport, RI, 02840.
