Joseph W. Roque

Middletown, - Joseph W. Roque, 92, of 991 West Main Road, Middletown, died Thursday, January 27, 2005, at home.He was the husband of the late Emily D. Almeida Roque. Born in Middletown, RI, on January 1, 1913, he was the son of the late Manuel and Helen Medeiros Roque. Mr. Roque had worked as a carpenter at the US Naval Station, Newport, for 38 years, retiring in 1978. He was a Communicant of St. Lucys Church in Middletown. He was a member of NARFEE. Mr. Roque had enjoyed cutting grass, landscaping, and gardening. He is survived by a son Roger H. Paschoal, a daughter Ann E. Paschoal and a brother Manuel Roque all of Middletown, RI, and a grandson Stephen J. Paschoal of Altanta, GA. He was the brother of the late Helen Raposa and Isabelle Smith.His funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2005, at 8:00AM, from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00AM, in St. Lucys Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown.
