Joseph Wesley Mckeehan Jr

Newport, - Joseph Wesley McKeehan Jr., 81, of 19 Garfield Street, Newport, died Saturday, October 19, 2002 at Rhode Island Hospital Providence, RI. Born in Newport, RI on January 2, 1921, he was the son of the late Joseph Wesley and Caroline Silveria McKeehan.Mr. McKeehan had worked as a foreman rigger at the Quonset Naval Air Station and General Dynamics for 30 years, retiring in 1987. He was a Veteran of the US Navy serving during WWII. He was a member of the Newport Lodge of Elks and a Graduate of Rogers High School, Class of 1939. He is survived by one brother Donald E. McKeehan of Wallingford, CT, 10 neices and nephews, 21 great neices and great nephews. He was also the brother of the late Charles E. McKeehan, Mary M. Reynolds, and Carolyn M. Ficke. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2002, at 8:00AM, from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00AM, in St. Josephs Church, Broadway and Mann Avenue, Newport.Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery, East Main Road, Portsmouth.
