Newport, - Elsie ?Jay? Law, 74, of 24 Mary Street Newport, formerly of Bowery Street Newport, died Sunday, April 13, 2003 at home. Born in Attleboro, MA on April 15, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Joseph W. and Myrtle Handy Sternman. Mrs. Law sold timeshare property with the RCI Co. at the Inn on the Harbor and the Inn on Long Wharf and retired in 1998. Mrs. Law enjoyed going out with friends to listen to good jazz or a good restaurant. She also enjoyed the ambiance of Colonial Newport. She is survived by her son David Jackson of Warwick, RI, Her funeral was private. The family will announce a Memorial reception at a later date.
