Josephine T. Mather

Middletown, RI - Josehpine T. Baxter Bastone Mather, 96, of formerly of John Clarke Retirement Center, Middletown, RI and Quaker Manor, Portsmouth, RI, died Sunday, January 11, 2004 at John Clarke Nursing Center, Middletown, RI.She was the wife of the late Frank J. Bastone and the late John Mather. Born in Wheeling, WV on January 22, 1907, she was a daughter of the late Henri L. and Josephine Browne Baxter. She was a member of the United Baptist Church, Newport. She is survived by her son Francis J. Bastone of Oldwick, NJ, her daughter Josephine DeStafano of Orange Park, FL, two sisters Carol Duggan of Tenafly, NJ, and Norma Mausolf of Summerville, SC, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2004, at 11:00am in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial will follow at Newport Memorial Park in Middletown.
