Judith A. (Wellman) Bucolo, 78, devoted wife of Anthony T. Bucolo for the last 60 years, lost her courageous battle with cancer on March 8, 2016 at home.She was born in North Attleboro, MA on January 19, 1938 and was the daughter of the late Edward Wellman and Marjorie (Watson) Reynolds. As a child Judy grew up in Warren, RI and attended the public schools graduating from Warren High School in 1955. Judy was a loving wife and mother with an adventurous spirit. She spent most of her married life on Aquidneck Island with her husband, raising their six children. Upon her husband's retirement they spent twenty years sailing between Newport and the Virgin Islands spending six months in each location. She loved the challenges of off shore sailing and on their last trip they were thrilled to include their grandson Tim. In her seventieth year she and granddaughter Katie began sky diving. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her many grandchildren. She loved to travel and was very grateful to see much of the world.Besides her husband she is survived by her daughters, Chris Ann Bucolo of Westport, MA, Elizabeth Bucolo of Mount Vernon, MO, Lisa Kilcommons of North Kingstown and Amy Shelton of Olathe, KS, her sons Stephen of Middletown and Michael of Portsmouth, fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Sandra Tenley of Fort Myers, FL and her brother Ronald Wellman of Scottsdale, AZ, in addition to many nieces and nephews.She will be greatly missed.Calling hour will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2016, from 4-8pm in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI.Her funeral will be held on Monday, March 14, 2016, at 9:30am from Memorial Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI.Burial will be private.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 1 St. Jude Place Building, P.O.
