Portsmouth, RI - Judith M. ?Judie? Silvia Correia, 57, of 50 Dexter Street, Portsmouth, RI, died Tuesday, October 26, 2004 unexpectedly at St. Anne?s Hospital, Fall River, MA.She was the wife of James Correia. Born in Fall River, MA, on November 25, 1946, she was the daughter of Mary Ferreira Silvia of Pascoag, RI and formerly of Fall River, MA and the late Joseph Silvia. Mrs. Correia graduated from Domincan Academy in Fall River, MA and attended Stonehill College. She worked for a pediatric doctor?s office in Fall River, then worked for Bayer Pharmaceutical as a sales representative, retiring after over 20 years. Mrs. Correia was working as a receptionist at Carnegie Abbey for the last year, earning employee of the month. She was well liked and reached out to help many throughout her life. Besides her husband and mother she is survived by her sister Joanne Smith of Pascoag, RI, many cousins and her beloved dogs Boca and Sophie.Her funeral will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2004, at 9:00 AM from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Anthonys Church, 2836 East Main Road, Portsmouth.Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery, Brown?s Lane, Middletown.Donations in her memory may be made to the Portsmouth Rescue Wagon Fund, PO Box 806, Portsmouth, RI 02871.
