MIDDLETOWN, RI - Julia H. Leander, 92, of Forest Farm Assisted Living, Middletown, RI, formerly of 1332 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI, died Sunday, August 14, 2005 at Roger Williams Medical Center, Providence, RI. Born in Middletown, RI on April 14, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Antone and Ricarda Soeira Leander. Julia served as a domestic for Dr. Arthur Dring and his family for 50 years. She is survived by her siblings Manuel Leander of Middletown, RI, Mary Paz of Portsmouth, RI, and Albertina Reiter of Newport, RI, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Joseph Leander, Antone Leander, William Leander and Louise Roderigues. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2005, at 10:00AM, in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial will be in St. Columbas Cemetery in Middletown.Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2005, from 4-7pm in the funeral home.
