June Alfreda ?Blossom? Anderson, 83, of 9 West Street Newport, died Tuesday, July 16, 2002 at Miriam Hospital Providence, RI. Born in Newport, RI on May 15, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Gustaf A. and Gladys J. Allen Anderson. Ms. Anderson worked for 25 years as a secretary and bookkeeper at Williams Manchesters Shipyard for the late Arthur W. Manchester and for 18 years as a clerical worker and clerk in the electrical department for J. T. OConnells, Inc. She was a life long member of Emmanuel Church in Newport. She is survived by her Aunt Mabel Greer Allen of Newport, RI. She was the granddaughter of the late Ellevetter Wilkey and Augustus Perry Allen of Newport, RI and the late Melissa Anderson and August Anderson of Muskegon, MI. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2002, at 1:00PM, in the Hambly Funeral Home Brick House, 30 Red Cross Avenue, Newport. Burial will be in Middletown Cemetery in Middletown.
