Kathryn Elizabeth Kingsbury

Portsmouth, - Kathryn E. Hagar Rich Kingsbury, 89, of 41 Silvania Road Portsmouth, died Monday, January 6, 2003 at Grand Islander Health Care Center Middletown, RI.She was the wife of the late Charles Stanley Rich and the late David Jackson Kingsbury. Born in Boston, MA on November 16, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Albert O. and Elsie Hamilton Hagar.Mrs. Kingsbury was a 1935 graduate of Smith College where she earned a BA in language. She was also a Real Estate Broker. She is survived by two sons James M. Rich of Milford, PA, and John S. Rich of Portsmouth, RI, two step daughters Martha Spalding of Portland, ME, and Margaret Peterson of Portland, ME her sister Dorothy Holscher of Fort Worth, TX, five grandchildren and one great granddaughter.She was the stepmother of the late Carolyn Libby and the sister of the late Hamilton Hagar and Albert Hagar.Her funeral and burial will be private.Arrangements are by the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI.
