Kenneth Raymond Rich

Middletown, RI- Kenneth Raymond Rich, 83, of Middletown, died Sunday, August 3, 2014 at home surrounded by his family.He was the husband of Charlotte A. (Costa) Rich. Born in Thomaston, ME on March 2, 1931, he was the son of the late Raymond and Anna M. (Geary) Rich. Kenneth served in the US Navy for 20 years, retiring in 1967. He worked as a manager for Van Hoff Nurseries, worked driving for Laidlaw Bus Company. Ken worked on the Navy Base as a rigger and military police. Besides his wife of 53 years, he is survived by his son Carl H. Rich and his wife Rose of Middletown, RI, his grandchildren, Carla Rich of Providence, RI and Kyle Rich of Middletown, RI, and multiple nieces and nephews including, Michelle Catalan and Shirley Echevarria of Middletown, RI and Charlene Aukerman of TN. He also leaves a brother in law Charles W. Costa and Godmother Connie Peckham and was the Godson of the late Donald Peckham. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2014, from 4:00 - 6:00 pm in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.
