Kenneth Thomas Caldwell, Md

Portsmouth, - Thomas Blacklock, 87, formerly of Anthony House, Portsmouth, and Russell Avenue, Newport, died Friday, April 25, 2003 at Heatherwood Nursing And Subacute Center, Newport, RI. He was the husband of Florence Bourne Blacklock of Newport. Born in Newport, RI on Nov. 27, 1915, he was the son of the late Thomas Blacklock and the late Helen Cooper Blacklock. Mr. Blacklock started work in 1936 at the Providence Gas Company, Newport Division in the service department and retiring after 40 years as supervisor of customer service in 1976. He was a member of St. Marys Episcopal Church, Portsmouth. Mr. Blacklock was 1st President of Anthony House Residence Association; past treasurer of New England Brothers of Utility Workers local #336 and former cubmaster of pack #24 Newport. In addition to his wife he is survived by on son Thomas G. Blacklock of San Antonio, TX; one daughter Carolyn Simmons of Newport News, VA; Two Grandchildren and Two Great Grandsons. He was the brother of the late Walter Blacklock, Marie Kelly, Edith Kelly, Evangeline Sherman and Florence Rutan. His funeral will be held Tuesday, April 29, at 11:00am in St. Marys Episcopal Church, 324 East Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery in Portsmouth.
