Larry Camara

Portsmouth, RI - Larry Camara, 77, of Portsmouth, RI, died Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at Forest Farm Health Care Center, Middletown, RI. He was the husband of the late Gertrude L. Morris Camara. Born in Fall River, MA on June 28, 1931, he was the son of the late Antone and Laura Camara.Mr. Camara was a custodian at Raytheon for 13 years. He was a communicant of St. Anthonys Church. Mr. Camara was a member of the Tiverton Rod and Gun Club, the Knights of Columbus Tiverton Council, the Portsmouth Senior Center and the Seaconnet Sportsmans Club. Larry was an avid Red Sox Fan. He is survived by his sons Michael L. Camara and his wife Vivian of Tiverton, RI and Richard A. Camara and his wife Elaine of San Antonio, TX, his daughter Cynthia Campbell and her husband Kenneth of Assonet, MA, his grandchildren Michael L. Camara, Jr., Daniel Camara, Kenneth D. Campbell III and his wife Rachel and Kimberly A. Campbell, his great grandson Garrett Smith and his cat Chips. His funeral will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2008, at 8:30 am from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Anthonys Church, 2836 East Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be in St. Patricks Cemetery in Fall River.Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 1, 2008, from 4-8 in the funeral home.
