Larry L. Wall, 73, of 24 Mary Street, Newport, died Friday, November 9, 2007 at Newport Hospital.He was the husband of Pauline D. Sylvester Wall.Born in Frankfort, IN on July 23, 1934, he was a son of the late Dwight A. and Frances M. Yost Wall.Mr. Wall served in the US Navy for 20 years and was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Following his naval career, he worked as a cook for many years at the John Clarke Nursing Home in Middletown and as a chef at the Newport Naval Base Officer?s Club. He also volunteered at the Portsmouth Senior Center and the Johnny Cake Center.In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Bruce Wall of Middletown, RI, Marilyn Seliga of Newport, RI, Carolyn Ocasio of Buffalo, NY, Larry Wall, Jr. of Portsmouth, RI, Sherry Sanders of Newport, RI, Steven Wall of Newport, RI and Donald Wall of Newport, RI, seven step-children, Brenda Lindell of North Kingstown, RI, Leona Gonzalex of Jersey City, New Jersey, Dorothy Mock of Ohio, Pattie Spencer of Missouri and Linda Harrison of Newport, RI and two step-sons, many grandchildren including, Marisa and Timothy Wall, April Rios, Crystal Watkinson, Russell Croteau, Bradley and Marina Wall, Alan Sanders and Misty Smith, many great-grandchildren including, Kayla Wall, Richard Wall, Jayda Rios, Jose Rios, Jr., Curtis Sanders and Gracie Smith, two brothers, Dwight A. Wall of Lafayette, IN and Evan J. Wall of Troy, OH.His funeral procession will form on Friday, November 16, 2007 at 9:00 am from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, followed by burial with military honors in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter, RI.Calling hours will held on Thursday, November 15, 2007 from 5-8 pm in the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to his wife, Pauline Wall, c/o 182 Park Holm, Newport, RI 02840.
