Laura F. Peterson

Middletown, RI - Laura F. Boiani Peterson, 95, of Murphy Circle, Middletown, RI, formerly of Oakwood Road, Middletown, RI, died Sunday, March 30, 2008 at Newport Hospital. She was the wife of the late Francis A. Pete Peterson, Sr. Born in Newport, RI, on March 3, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Dandolo and Lodovina Gentile Boiani.Mrs. Peterson worked as a secretary at the Navy Supply Center for twenty years. She helped her mother run the family business former Cranston Hotel. She was an active bowler at the former Aquidneck Lanes, enjoyed ballroom dancing and was an excellent cook. She also loved to travel with her late husband. She is survived by her sons, Francis A. Peterson, Jr. of Middletown, RI and Arthur P. Peterson of Kendall, FL, six grandchildren, Susan Landrith, Donna McCauley, Linda Urioste, Elizabeth Bentley, Erica Peterson and Cara Peterson, fourteen great-grandchildren, Thad Landrith, Trae Landrith, Sean McCauley, Melinda McCauley, Jason Urioste, Jennifer Urioste, Catherine Bentley, Christopher Bentley, Collin Bentley, Dillon Reinhard, Quentin Reinhard, Pamela Sullivan, Sean Sullivan and Timothy Matthews II, and one great-great-grandchild, Olivia Forbes. She is preceded in death by her brother, Phillip Boiani, her sister Olga Boiani and her great-great-granddaughter, Jayda Urioste.Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at 12 noon in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial will be in St. Columbas Cemetery in Middletown.Calling hours will be held Thursday, April 3, 2008 prior to the service from 11:00 am -12:00 pm in the funeral home.
