Laura Larue

Portsmouth, RI - Laura LaRue, 84, of 18 Canton Ave, Portsmouth, RI, died peacefully on Friday, June 13, 2008 at home in Portsmouth, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Roland LaRue for 62 years. Born in Fall River, MA on May 14, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Antone and Rose Daponte Souza.Mrs. LaRue lived in Portsmouth for 52 years. She was an active volunteer with the Crystal Springs School for the Handicapped in Assonet, Mass. She is survived by her husband Roland LaRue of Portsmouth, RI, a daughter Sandra Lambis of Largo, FL, and two grandsons James Lambis and Michael Lambis, a brother Manuel Souza, formerly of Fall River, MA, and a sister Elsie Souza of Portsmouth, RI.She was preceded in death by a brother Gil Souza.
