Lauren Ann Gelina

Middletown, RI - Lauren Ann Mixter Gelina, 50, of 31 Laura Road, Middletown, RI, died Sunday, July 16, 2006 at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. She was the wife of Robert Paul Gelina. Born in Newport, RI, on October 17, 1955, she was the daughter of Edith Waldorf Mixter and the late Roland Mixter.Mrs. Gelina was a home supervisor for Looking Upwards in Middletown. She was a caring and devoted employee until illness forced her to retire in 1998. Mrs. Gelina was also a member of a Healing Co-Op cancer support group of Middletown, RI. She enjoyed doing crafts and working in her flower garden. She will be remembered for the love and support she gave to others and her love of family. Besides her husband she is survived by her daughter Kristie Ann Quinn of Warminster, PA, her brother John Mixter of Portsmouth, RI, her grandson Samuel Quinn of Warminster, PA, and her niece Kimberly Mixter of Portsmouth, RI. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2006, at 10:00am in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.
