Lenore R. Jeffries

Middleton, RI - Lenore R. (Hoke) Jeffries, 91, of Middletown, RI, died Thursday November 27, 2014 at Grand Islander Health Care Center in Middletown, RI. She was the wife of the late Clifford L. Jeffries Sr. Born in Kansas City, KS, on February 19, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd E. and Lena (Campbell) Hoke. She was employed by Argentine Savings and Loan in Kansas City KS for many years before retiring. Like her parents and grandparents, she was a lifelong active member of Metropolitan Avenue First United Methodist Church where she participated in Cancer Action, the vocal and hand bell choirs, the Board of Trustees and other positions. She was an active member of the P.E.O. philanthropic organization.She is survived by two sons; Clifford L. Jeffries Jr and his wife Sujean. and David L. Jeffries and his wife Nita, five grandchildren; Laura Marugg, Jennifer MacKechnie, John Jeffries, Melissa Cuadrado, Kristin Andrews and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her two nieces Judy Scott, her sons Craig, Alex and Stuart; and Donna Wiliker and her daughters, Debbie and Shelly. A graveside service will be held on December 12, 2014 at 11:30 in Maple Hill Cemetery 2301 South 34th Street Kansas City Kansas.
