Leo Francis OKane Portsmouth, RI - Leo Francis OKane, 84, of 48 Redwood Road, Portsmouth, RI, died Friday, December 14, 2007 at home. He was the husband of the late Doris Evelyn Dwyer OKane. Born in Boston, MA, on September 3, 1923, he was the son of the late Mark Edward and Madeline Gallagher O?Kane.Mr. OKane had worked as an operations manager for Automatic Data Processing for over 20 years, retiring in 1996. He was a 20 year Veteran serving in the US Navy, during WWII and Korea. He was a Communicant of St. Barnabas Church. Mr. OKane was an avid Red Sox fan. He is survived by three sons, Mark Edward OKane of Riverside, RI, Daniel J. OKane of Portsmouth, RI, and Patrick S. OKane of Portsmouth, RI, and six grandchildren, Heather OKane, Liam OKane, Aidan OKane, Sean OKane, James OKane, and Michelle OKane. He was also the brother of the late Avila Elsasser.His funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2007, at 9:00 a.m. from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth.Burial will be in Newport Memorial Park in Middletown.Calling hours will be held Tuesday, December 18, 2007, from 4-7 p.m. in the Connors Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Red Sox Foundation, 4 Yawkey Way, Boston, MA, 02215.
