Leo G. Bottari, 51, of Coventry passed away Monday, August 6, 2012 at his home.Leo was born August 12, 1960 in Boston, MA. He was the son of the late Leo J. Bottari and Mary E. Bottari. Leo graduated from Salve Regina University in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and was employed by Handy and Harman in Massachusetts for many years. He enjoyed fishing, boating, playing pool and hosting family events. Leo enjoyed cooking and creating his own recipes which he often shared with other family members. Leo was always eager to work with or fix anything mechanical. Most of all, Leo loved his children and spoke about them up until the final moments of his life. He leaves his six daughters: Kayla, Allyssa, Emmily, Mollie, Sarah and Jenna. Leo also leaves his sister Rosemarie Bottari Nagle, his sister Victoria Bottari Kerloch and her husband Daniel, his brother Guy Bottari and his wife Audrey, his brother Michael Bottari and his wife Linda. Leo also leaves his cousins Sabrina Paradis and her husband Mark and Christina Blau and her husband David as well as several nieces and nephews.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, December 10, 2012 at 9:00AM in St. Mary's Church, Spring Street, Newport. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.Burial will take place in St. Columba Cemetery following Mass.Calling hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Salve Regina University Bottari Family Scholarship.
