Leonora June Shovelton

Portsmouth, RI - Leonora June Shovelton, 75, of 29 Baker Road, Portsmouth, RI, died Friday, December 8, 2006 at home. She was the wife of the late Richard Adler Shovelton. Born in Fall River, MA on June 25, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Adelaide Rezendes Nascimento.Mrs. Shovelton graduated in 1981 from St. Josephs College in CT. She worked as an executive secretary for the Northeast Utilities in Millstone, CT. She is survived by her brothers Ernest Nascimento of Portsmouth, RI, Gerald Nascimento of Manchester, CT, and Ricardo Nascimento of Blufton, SC, her sister Lillian Shore of Middletown, RI as well as several nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held on Monday, December 11, 2006, at 10:00am in Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be in Pocassett Hill Cemetery in Tiverton.Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2006, from 7-9pm in the Connors Funeral Home.
