Leonora S. Callewaert Bananto Portsmouth, - Leonora S. Callewaert Bananto, 49, of 65 Silvania Road, Portsmouth, formerly of Waukegan, IL, died Sunday, June 27, 2004, at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, RI. She was the wife of John P. Bananto Jr. Born in the Netherlands, on April 3, 1955, she was the daughter of Gretchen Zoetmulder Callewaert of Apache Junction, AZ, and the late Charles Callewaert who died in January of 2004. Mrs. Bananto had worked as an administrative assistant for 11 years for McLaughlin Research. She had been a literary volunteer for the Literary Volunteers of America for many years. Besides her husband and mother she is survived by a brother Jeffrey Callewaert of Apache Junction, AZ, three uncles Wim Zoetmulder of Zion, IL, Jun Zoetmulder of Mt. Prospect, IL, and Chris Zoetmulder of Schaumberg, IL, four sister in laws Debra Hall of Gurnee, IL, Robin Barnett of Wadsworth, IL, Mary Pieroni of Wadsworth, IL, Jackie Hook of Wadsworth, IL, and her father and mother in law John and Ann Ferreira Bananto of Wadsworth, IL.Funeral services and burial will be private.Memorial donations may be made to the Lupus Foundation of Rhode Island, 8 Fallon Avenue, Providence, RI, 02908.
