Lettie Mae Ferris

Middletown, RI - Lettie Mae Borden Ferris, 95, of 1508 Wapping Road Middletown, RI, formerly of 167 Water Street, Portsmouth, RI, died Tuesday, December 9, 2003 at home.She was the wife of the late Manuel J. Ferris. Born in Portsmouth, RI on May 15, 1908, she was the daughter of the late Joseph T. and Amy Brownell Dube Borden. Mrs. Ferris lived on Water Street in Portsmouth, RI, for many years before moving to Middletown, RI. She was a communicant of St. Anthonys Church. Mrs. Ferris worked as a Cooks helper in the Portsmouth Schools until she retired. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by two sons Robert Ferris of Middletown, RI, and Raymond S Ferris of Portsmouth, RI, her brother Albert Borden of Portsmouth, RI, six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.She was the sister of the late Maurice Borden, Joseph Borden, Ernest Borden, Ada Malone Ferreira, Viola Vieira, Beulah Kreider OLoughlin, Alice Mae Borden, Maxine Borden and Virginia Borden and the grandmother of the late David Ferris. Her funeral will be held on Friday, December 12, 2003, at 9:00 AM from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 AM in St. Anthonys Church, 2836 East Main Road, Portsmouth.
