Middletown, RI - Lillian H. Frazier Spooner, 80, of Grand Islander Nursing Home, Middletown, RI, died Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at Grand Islander Health Care Center, Middletown, RI. Born in Newport, RI on December 3, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Reliance Frazier Silvia.Mrs. Spooner worked as a bus monitor for the Middletown Public Schools. She loved to play bingo and was very devoted to her family. She is survived by her children, William Spooner of Newport, RI, Jane Foss and Robert Spooner of Middletown, RI, and Michael Spooner of Southington, CT, her sisters Joan Alvanas of Portsmouth, RI and Shirley Cochrin of Newport, RI, several grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Her calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2009, from 2-4 in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, followed by a Memorial service at 4.Burial will be private.In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the March of Dimes Birth Defects, Foundation of Rhode Island Chapter, 400 Reservoir Avenue, Providence, RI 02903
