Linda L. Larson

Linda L. Larson, 59, of Admiral Court, Middletown, RI, died Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at home. She was the wife of the late Gustav Larson. Prior to their marriage her last name was Lewandowski and her maiden name was Sullivan.Born in Newport, RI on April 17, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Dorothy R. Douglas Sullivan. She was the sister of the late Michael L. and Charles F. Sullivan. She is survived by her sister Maureen and brother-in-law George Larson of Monticello, MN and their children Greg, Michele and Tracy as well as six grand-nieces and nephews.She is also survived by her daughter, Nancy Lewandowski and son-in-law, Charles Shipman of Manchester, NH and her two grandchildren Sarah and Nate who brought her great joy. In recent years she happily shared her home with the family of Kim and Jim Patnode and their children Shayla, Patrick, Alyssa and Gabrielle.Linda retired from her longtime career as a Purchasing Agent for the US Navy several years ago.A graveside committal service will be held Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 11 am in St. Columba Cemetery, Browns Lane, Middletown.Calling hours are respectfully omitted.In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to The Potter League for Animals, PO Box 412, Newport, RI 02840.Linda will be fondly remembered for her quick smile and generous spirit. She is greatly missed by all.
