Linda L. Moniz

Linda L. (Hilderbrand) Moniz, 86, of Warren, RI, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.Born in La Grange, GA on April 22, 1927, she is the daughter of the late Clarence and Lucille (Hinton) Hilderbrand.Mrs. Moniz worked as an Accounts Payable Clerk at NUWC for 15 years before retiring. In her younger years, she was an accomplished oil painter. She enjoyed cooking and especially for her family on the holidays. A kind gentle soul who gave good advice and loved the family jokes during holidays, she will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is now with our Lord.She is survived by her children, John Moniz of East Providence, RI, Michael "Mickey" Moniz of Attleboro, MA, Ronald Moniz of Middletown, RI, and Lynne M. Moniz of Warren, RI; her grandsons, Michael, Aaron and Derek; and her granddaughters, Shanemarie Vaughn and Lori Ann Budz.She was predeceased by her son, Wayne Moniz.Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2014 from 4-6 pm in Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI. A memorial service will follow at 6 pm in the funeral home.
