Linda L. Vasconcellos, 78, of Middletown, RI, formerly of Gilford, NH, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2024. She was the wife of the late Ronald Vasconcellos.
Born in Acushnet, MA, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Virginia Camacho.
Linda absolutely loved life in New Hampshire. She and her late husband Ronald would often take trips to Lake Winnipesaukee, staying at the Channel Waterfront Cottages in Laconia. She loved it there so much, they decided to make the permanent move to Gilford after vacationing for many years and falling in love with the Lakes Region. Linda was employed by Shaw's and retired after 30 years. After retirement, she was employed by the Laconia School Department until 2017.
Linda enjoyed time with her close friends Cathy and Mary, meeting at the local Dunkin Donuts for coffee and conversation. She was loved by all wherever she went and by whoever she met. She was kind, and always left you with one of her hugs. She had an immeasurable love for her daughter Diana and her grandson Zach.
Linda is survived by her children; Diana (Paul Rodrigues) Bourassa, of Middletown, RI, Edouard Bourassa Jr., of Taunton, MA, her stepchildren, Ronald Vasconcellos, Lisa Hall, Patricia Amaral, Theresa Medeiros, her siblings; John (Sylvia) Camacho, of Mattapoisett, MA, her grandchildren; Zachary Furtado, Samuel Rodrigues, Blake (Heather) Bourassa, Brittnie (Tom) DeJesus, and her great-grandchildren; Bryson, Gianna, Olivia, and Phillip. She additionally leaves her nieces; Marcia, Lynne, Debbie, Victoria, and Cheryl, her dear friend; Cathy McCurdy, and her beloved cat; Charlie.
Services for Linda will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at 10:00 AM in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy, Boscawen, NH.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) or to the American Lung Association.
