Newport, RI - Lisa Anna Jacobson Davis, 56, of 255 Park Holm, Newport, RI, died Sunday, October 17, 2010 at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence, RI.Born in Quebec, Canada, on August 4, 1954, she was the daughter of the late John Martin Jacobson and the late Carline Corriveau Magrath.Lisa was one of the first to have a resident owned business Hope Security from 1994-2006. She had a love for gardening and won Newport in Bloom several times. She also loved watching football especially her Patriots, and cooking. Her love of animals resulted in her being one of the founding members of the Newport Housing Authority Pet Policy and was very involved with her friends and the community. She was loved by all and will be missed by many who knew and loved her. She is survived by her companion Orlando K. Piker, Sr. of Newport, RI, her son Nicholas James Davis of Bristol, RI, her daughter Brittany Leah Davis of Newport, RI, her sisters Lori Caldarone of Warwick, RI and Jenny Gallagher and her husband Michael of Coventry, RI, her step father Harland Magrath and his wife Beverly Campbell and several nieces and nephews.She was the sister of the late John Jacobson, Jr. Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 22, 2010, from 4-8pm, in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.Burial will be private.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Life Care/Nicholas Davis, 7 Thayer Street, Bristol, RI 02809.
