Lorraine R. Morrissey

Middletown, RI - Lorraine R. Flayhan Morrissey, 83, of 155 Wyatt Road, Middletown, RI, died Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at Newport Hospital. She was the wife of the late Thomas J. Morrissey, Sr. Born in Dover, NH on Feb. 21, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth Owen Flayhan. She is survived by her children, George J. Morrissey of North Hampton, NH, Charles N. Morrissey of Middletown, RI, Al J. Morrissey of Plymouth, MA, Michael J. Morrissey of Middletown, RI, John J. Morrissey of Pawtucket, RI, Thomas J. Morrissey III of East Taunton, MA, Toni E. Amberg of Sparta, NJ and Catherine L. Marshall of Shrewsbury, MA. She was also the devoted grandmother of nine and the mother of the late Thomas J. Morrissey. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2006 at 8 am from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 am in St. Lucy Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown. Burial will be in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter.Calling hours will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2006 from 5-8 pm in the Memorial Funeral Home.
