Middletown, - Louis A. Perry, 86, a life long Aquidneck Island resident and formerly of Casey Drive, Middletown, RI, died Friday, February 20, 2004 at Grand Islander Health Care Center, Middletown, RI.He was the husband of the late Laverne Marie Willams Perry and the late Elizabeth ?Betty? Deveau Perry. Born in Newport, RI on Jun. 29, 1917, he was the son of the late Antone and Annie Pedro Perry.Mr. Perry worked as a public accountant and worked privately for the Sullivan Family at the former Newport Motor Lodge and Sulbro Trucking until he retired in 1998. He was a communicant of St. Lucy?s Church and a member of the Newport Lodge of Elks, the Pocasset Country Club and was a former Kiwanis Club Member. He was an avid sportsman and loved the Boston Red Sox.He is survived his son, Kenneth R. Perry of Niagara Falls, NY, two daughters, Ann Marie Perry of Rochester, MA, and Patricia M. Chretien of Acushnet, MA, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren, and many cousins survive him. His funeral will be held Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 8:00 AM from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM in St. Lucys Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown. Burial will be in Middletown Cemetery in Middletown.
