Louise Ann Faria

Portsmouth, RI ? Louise Ann Marks Faria, 80, of Portsmouth, RI, and formerly of Hammersmith Farm in Newport, RI, died Friday, September 29, 2006, at home surrounded by her family and friends. She was the wife of the late Manuel Faria. Born in Newport and a lifelong resident of Aquidneck Island, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Angelina Raposa Marks. She lived at Hammersmith Farm in Newport where her husband was superintendent for 23 years. She loved spending time with family and friends, volunteering at Newport Hospital and was an avid gardener. She leaves two daughters, Linda F. Savastano of Jamestown, RI and Joyce F. Brennan of Portsmouth, RI and son-in-laws C. Christopher Savastano and Peter W. Brennan; four grandchildren, Carter and Marguerite Savastano, and Joseph and Kelly Brennan; two sisters, Cecelia Watts of Chesapeake, VA and Patricia Lees of Portsmouth, RI; one brother, Raymond Marks of Middletown, RI; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late August Marks of Middletown, RI and Lester Marks of San Francisco, CA.
