Louise E. Bailey

Portsmouth, RI - Louise E. Hargraves Bailey, 87, of Portsmouth, died on Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. She was the wife of the late Edward F. Bailey. Born in Fall River, MA, on March 15, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Charles J. and Mary E. Roberts Hargraves. Mrs. Bailey was a communicant of St. Barnabas Catholic Church, and a former member of Green Valley Country Club. She worked for Aetna Life and Casualty Insurance, retiring in 1978. She is survived by her son, David A. Bailey and his wife Susan of North Stonington, CT, her daughter, Joanne Brady of Winchester, MA, her daughter Virginia C. Bailey-Perrault and her husband Wayne Perrault of Tewksbury, MA, and three grandchildren, Megan Brady, Matthew Bailey, and Olivia Bailey. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Charles Hargraves, James Hargraves, Joseph A. Hargraves, William R. Hargraves, Helen H. Johnson, and Claire G. Hargraves. Her funeral will be held on Friday, July 31, 2009, at 9:00am, from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am, at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be in St. Columbas Catholic Cemetery in Middletown. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2009, from 4:00-6:00pm in the funeral home.
