Newport, RI - Louise K. Williams Maxson, 88, of 5 Peckham Avenue Newport, formerly of 7 Daniel Street, Newport, died Thursday, March 4, 2004 at her home.She was the wife of the late Clark Sherman Maxson. Born in Charlestown, MA on September 25, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Raymond and Mary Christine Stewart Williams. Mrs. Maxson retired as Administrator of Forest Farm Health Care Center in 1974, and then retured to private duty nursing at Forest Farm until 2000. She was a member of United Congregational Church in Middletown, a former member of Town Howlers Square Dancers, a former Girl Scout Leader and Brownie Troop Leader and a former member of the Quahoug Chapter 48 of the Rhode Island Division. She is survived by her son Dr. Stephen Clark Maxson P.H.D. of Sturbridge, MA, two daughters Linda Louise Irish of Campton, NH, and Pamela Christine DeMello of Middletown, RI, a brother Kenneth Williams of Portsmouth, RI, a sister Ellen Burchard of Little Compton, RI, seven grandchildren Francis A. Irish and Linda M. Irish both of Cumberland, RI, John J. Irish of Waterville Valley, NH, Robert P. Irish and Pamela M. Irish both of Lincoln, NH, and Richard J. Sousa and Kim Sousa both of Middletown, RI, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.She was the sister of the late George G. Williams and Pauline Hedglin. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2004, at 9:00AM, in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI. Burial will be in Island Annex Cemetery in Newport, RI.
