Newport, RI - Louise Mary Partington, 64, of 13 Whitwell Avenue, Newport, RI, formerly of 85 Bayview Park, died Sunday, May 4, 2008 at home. Born in Pawtucket, RI on February 1, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Eunice Callahan Partington. Louise graduated from Tolman High School in Pawtucket with the class of 1961. She went to work at Kent County Mental Health and then joined the DMV in 1980 later retiring as a supervisor in 2003 after 23 years. Louise loved nothing more then spending time with her grandchildren, Jim, her dogs Gracie and Annabelle, her children and going to Florida with her girlfriends. She is survived by her life long companion James Irons of Newport, RI, her children, Lee Arouth and his wife Christine of North Kingstown, RI, Parys Fortini and his wife Kristi of Warwick, RI, Kristen Davis and her husband Michael of Candia, NH and Susan Jones of Middletown, RI, her brother Norman Partington of Pawtucket, RI, her sister Eunice Rondeau of Pawtucket, RI, her grandchildren Emily, Jake, Makenna, Domenic, Erin, Daniel and Sage, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2008, at 9:00 am from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Josephs Church, Broadway and Mann Avenue, Newport. Burial will be private.Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2008, from 4-8 in the funeral home. Donations in her memory may be made to the Robert Potter League for Animals, PO Box 412, Newport , RI 02840 or to Visiting Nurse of Newport and Bristol Counties, Hospice Care, 1184 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871.
