Louise T. Moriarty

MIDDLETOWN, RI - Louise T. Soares Moriarty, 95, of 105 Third Street, Newport, RI, died Tuesday, May 3, 2005, at Forest Farm Health Care Center, Middletown, RI. She was the wife of the late John James Moriarty. Born in Portsmouth, RI on September 9, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Antonio R. and Rita Garcia Soares.Mrs. Moriarty was a clerk at the Naval Exchange on the Newport Naval Base. She is survived by her children John J. Moriarty Jr. of Middletown, RI, Jerry F. Moriarty and William A. Moriarty both of Newport, RI, and Ellen Moriarty Canning of San Diego, CA, her sister Julia Soares both of Middletown, RI, eleven grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Rita Moriarty and the sister of the late Francis Soares. Her funeral will be held on Monday, May 9, 2005, at 8:00Am, from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian burial at 9:00AM, in St. Josephs Church, Broadway And Mann Avenue, Newport. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.Calling hours will be held on Sunday, May 8, 2005, from 4-7pm, in the funeral home.
