Lucille O. Feid, 86, of 400 Sea Meadow Drive, Portsmouth, RI, died Friday, February 20, 2009 at home in Portsmouth. She was the wife of Maj. Gordon I. Feid, USMC Ret.Born in North Attleboro, MA on December 13, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Jeanette Guindon Gagne.She graduated from North Attleboro High School and attended Reveier Academy in Hudson, NH. She lived in many states during her early married life and while in California she was a member of the Moraga Garden Club and the Welcome Wagon. She spent sixteen years in Canton, MA and was a member of the Womens Guild of St. Johns Catholic Church.A Portsmouth resident for over 30 years, she was active in the Portsmouth Garden Club and a member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church.She is survived by husband Maj. Gordon I. Feid, USMC Ret. of Portsmouth, RI to whom she was married to for over 65 years, a son Dale K. Feid and his wife Joan of Pike, NH, and a daughter Patricia Heinz and her husband Timothy T. Heinz of Hopkinton, NH, an one sister Catherine D. Gagne of North Attleboro, MA. She is also survived by a grandson Brandon J. Feid and his wife Andrea of Plainfield, NH, granddaughter Jennifer White and her husband Michael of Gloucester, MA, granddaughter Brianne Heinz of Myrtle Beach, SC, and grandson Matthew Heinz of Henniker, NH, and great grandchildren Alieke Feid, Micaela and Keegan White. She was preceded in death by her brother, Very Reverend Roger Gagne, formerly of St. Marks Church in North Attleboro, MA. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, February 26, at 9:00 am from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be in Canton Cemetery in Canton, MA. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, February 25 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 in the Connors Funeral Home.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice at Visiting Nurse Service, 1184 East Main Rd. Portsmouth, RI 02871.
