Portsmouth, RI - Lucy Elizabeth Duffy Loscocco, 79, of 24 Bayview Avenue Portsmouth, died Wednesday, November 17, 2004 at St. Annes Hospital, Fall River, MA.She was the wife of S. John Loscocco. Born in Boston, MA on June 5, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Atty. Joseph M. Duffy and Delphina Marshall Duffy. Mrs. Loscocco attended schools in Braintree, MA. After college, she married her husband on June 18, 1949 and lived in the Wellesley. During this time, she summered in Portsmouth, RI, with her husband and children for 40 years, until moving there permanantly in 1989. She was a Senior Staff Manager with the Charles River Association for Retarded Citizens for 25 years, until her retirement in 2000. She graduated in 1947 from Emmanuel College in Boston, MA receiving her BA. She had also attended Simmons Graduate School of Social Work in Boston, MA. She was a member of the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Wellesley, MA, where she was a Christian doctrine teacher for over 25 years. Lucy enjoyed playing the violin in the Wellesley Symphony Orchestra for 40 years. Besides her husband of fifty five years she is survived by five daughters Lucy E. Loscocco of Vernon, British Columbia, Canada, Anne Marie Loscocco of Buffalo, NY, Mary Patricia Loscocco of Boston, MA, Kathleen A. Loscocco of San Francisco, CA, and Paula M. Loscocco of New York, NY, and her son John J. Loscocco of Natick, MA, her sister Mary Coz of Grafton, MA, and eleven grandchildren.Her funeral will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2004, at 9:00AM, from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM, in St. Anthonys Church, 2836 East Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be private. Donations may be made in her memory to the Charles River Association for Retarded Citizens, PO Box 169, Needham, MA 02192.
