Lucy Theresa Wallace

Bristol, RI - Lucy Theresa Bean Wallace, 83, of 1 Brum Street, Bristol, died Saturday, June 5, 2004 at home.She was the wife of the late Edward Wallace Jr. Born in Portland, ME on October 9, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Jennie Jacques Bean. Mrs. Wallace grew up in Yantic, CT. She graduated from Norwich Free Academy in 1938 and from Springfield Academy of Beauticulture in 1939. she worked as a hairdress in Lenoxdale, MA for 32 years. Mrs. Wallace also owned and operated the Eagle?s Nest Ceramic Studio for 5 years in Lenoxdale, MA. Mrs. Wallace moved to Dalton, MA in 1970 where she worked for Sears Service Department, until she moved to Bristol, RI in 1978 to live with her daughter. She was a communicant of St. Marys Church in Bristol, RI, where she served on the Bazaar Committee. Mrs. Wallace was an avid reader, enjoyed arts crafts and spending time with her great grandchildren. She was also an enthusiastic fan of the Boston Red Sox. She is survived by two sons Stephen Wallace of Window Rock, AZ, and Jeffrey Wallace of Pittsfield, MA, two daughters Sue Ann Gale of Bristol, RI, and Lisa Staley of Deltona, FL, her brother Richard Lefebvre of Pomfret, CT, eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.She was the sister of the late Lorretta Pero.A Memorial service will be held on Monday, June 14, 2004, at 10:00 AM in St. Marys Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the ?Sealing our Future Campaign,? St. Marys Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol, RI 02809 or to Visiting Nurse Services Of Newport Bristol Cos, 1184 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871. Arrangements are by the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth.
