Middletown, RI - Lynette Beattie Harvey, 92, of Blenheim- Newport, Valley Road Middletown, formerly of 82 Young Drive, Portsmouth, RI, died Tuesday, December 27, 2005 in Middletown, RI. She was the wife of the late William Ward Harvey. Born in Newport, RI on February 21, 1913, she was the daughter of the late William Beattie and the late Dora Millington Beattie.Mrs. Harvey was a member of the Mosaic Club and the Newport Hospital Auxillary. She served as a former board President of the Nina Lynette Home in Newport, The Newport Historical Society, and The Preservation Society of Newport.She is survived by a son William R. Harvey of Middletown, RI, and two daughters Lynn H. Summers of Iowa City, IA, and Anne H. Lawton of Holliston, MA, a sister Joan Klaserner of Portsmouth, RI, and six grandchildren: William W. Harvey of Newport, RI, Bethany Stewart of Newport, RI, Ryan Harvey of San Diego, CA, Ellen Thompson of Worcester, MA, John Summers of Wakefield, MA, Jeffrey Summers of Seoul, Korea, John Lawton of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Eric Lawton of Holliston, MA, and Lynette Lawton of Boston, MA.She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Beattie and Dorothy Harlow.Her funeral will be held on Friday, December 30, 2005, at 1:00 PM in St. Georges Episcopal Church, 14 Rhode Island Avenue, Newport and burial will be in St. Marys Churchyard in Portsmouth.
