Middletown, RI - Lynne M. Smith, 96, of Middletown, died Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at St. Clare Home Newport, RI. She was the wife of the late Robert Smith. Born in Fall River, MA on January 22, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Helen (Dziedic) Mikolazyk. She was employed as an optometric assistant with Dr. Peter Eudenbach, OD for many years. She was an avid gardener and talented seamstress. She is survived by her daughters, Marylee Evans of Carolina, RI, Kathleen Light of Winter Springs, FL, and Joan Murphy of Vienna, VA, and five grandchildren.She was the sister of the late Joseph Walter Mikolazyk, Stanley Mikolazyk, twin brother Matthew, and Mary Dennihey. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews and five grandchildren.Her funeral will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at 10:00 AM in St. Lucys Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown.Burial will be held on Monday, April 29, 2013 at 10am in St. Patricks Cemetery, 2233 Robeson Street, Fall River, MA.In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Lynnes name to St. Clare Home, 309 Spring Street, Newport, RI 02840.
