M. Elizabeth Ward

Middletown, RI - M. Elizabeth Betty Cardoza Ward, 66, of 1 Buck Road, Middletown, RI, died unexpectedly Thursday, March 18, 2010 at home. Born in Middletown, RI on July 6, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Mary Corey Cardoza. Betty worked as a bookkeeper for several years at the James L. Maher Center, retiring two years ago. She is survived by her brothers George Cardoza of Fisher, IN, and Francis Cardoza of Middletown, RI, her sisters Barbara Gianetis of Middletown, RI and Alice Cardoza of Newport, RI and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Norman and Lewis Cardoza. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 21, 2010 from 1:00-5:00 with a prayer service to follow at 5:00pm in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.Burial will be private.
