PORTSMOUTH, RI ? M. Dolores O?Neill Ventura, 73, Known as ?Bebes? of 20 Musselbed Shoal Road, Portsmouth, RI, died Monday, August 1, 2005, in East Hampton, NY. Born in Queens, NY on January 6, 1932, she was the daughter of the late John and Marion Johnson O? Neill. Bebe grew up in Ridgewood, NJ. She graduated from Salve Regina College in 1953, where she was President of her class and served as editer of the school newspaper. Bebe started her own lanscape design business in 1976 ?Plant Interiors? in Newport, RI, which she owned and operated until her retirement in 1990. She designed and maintained of many of the restaurant gardens and properties along the wharfs of Newport. Bebe was an avid reader and gardener. She is survived by her children Geoff Ventura and his wife Ann of Milton, MA, Donald Ventura and his wife Helen of Geneva, Switzerland, John Ventura and his wife Kathy of Weston, CT, Shane McQueeney and her husband Mark of Marcellus, NY, Meg Cronopolus and her husband John and Conall Lippert and her husband Keith all of New York, NY and Jennifer Golding and her husband Tom of Franklin, MA, her brother John ONeill of Georgia, her sister Anne Oullette of Brewster, MA, and her seventeen grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her former husband F. Donald Ventura. Her funeral will be held on Monday, August 8, 2005, at 11:00 AM in Ochre Court, Salve Regina Universtiy, 100 Ochre Point Avenue, Newport, RI.
