Majel Eileen Peterson

Newport, RI - Majel Eileen Peterson, 89, formerly of 39 West Narragansett Avenue, Newport, RI, died Saturday, July 15, 2006 at Village House Nursing and Rehabilitation Home, Newport, RI. Born in Newport, RI, on March 13, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Otto and Annie Petterson Peterson. Ms. Peterson worked as an LPN who specialized in newborn home care in her early career. In later years she enjoyed working for the Newport Historical Society. She is survived by her sister Eunice Eglah Peterson, her nephew Sterling R. Monk and her nieces Judith A. Broas and Cynthia D. Langley. She was preceded in death by a sister Paula T. Monk and a brother Lorentz Orin Peterson. A Memorial service will be held for friends and family at a yet to be determined date. Arrangements are by Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI.
