Malcom Glazzard

Bristol, RI - Malcom Glazzard, 80, of 87 1/2 Burton Street, Bristol, RI, died Monday, June 25, 2012 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, RI. He was the husband of the late Patricia M. (Chapman) Glazzard. Born in Chester, England, on July 1, 1931, he was the son of the late Victor and Mary (Cartwright) Glazzard.Mr. Glazzard served in the United States Army. He played professional football in the EPL for Liverpool FC. He worked as an independent Insurance Agent for Chester Insurance Agency, Inc. in Rumford, RI. Mr. Glazzard loved to play tennis and claimed to invent indoor soccer with Fr. Smith at Warren High School. He is survived by his sons, Ian Glazzard of Bristol, RI, and Christopher Glazzard of Barrington, RI, his grandsons, Andrew Glazzard and Cole Glazzard, his granddaughters, Ada Glazzard, Chase Glazzard and Liana Cuzcone and his sister Margaret Marsden of England.He was the father of the late Neil Glazzard.A graveside burial will be held on Friday, June 29, 2012, at 10:00 am, in Forest Chapel Cemetery in Barrington.
