Manuel J. Medeiros Middletown, RI - Manuel J. Medeiros, 88, of John Clarke Retirement Center, Middletown, RI, formerly of 29 Center Avenue, Middletown, died Friday, August 22, 2008 at John Clarke Health Care Center, Middletown, RI. He was the husband of the late Jean Lundberg Medeiros. Born in Middletown, RI, on May 11, 1920, he was the son of the late Manuel T. and Antonia Pavao Medeiros.Mr. Medeiros has worked as a store clerk at the Commissary on the Newport Naval Base. He had also live in San Bernadino, CA, and worked as a file clerk for the Army Engineers. He was a Communicant of Jesus Saviour Church. He is survived by a nephew Joseph Burns of Middletown, RI, and a daughter Paula Lundburg of Norfolk, VA. He was also the brother of the late Lydia Medeiros Martins and Sophina Dupee.His funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, at 10:15 am in St. Columba Cemetery, Browns Lane, Middletown.Funeral arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI.
