Warren, - Marcel Lawrence Geoffrey, 87, of 511 Child Street Warren, died Tuesday, December 10, 2002 at RI Veterans Home Bristol, RI.He was the husband of Claire Rainey Geoffrey. Born in Warren, RI on August 10, 1915, he was the son of the late Alphonse and Marilda Geoffrey.Mr. Geoffrey served in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Geoffrey worked for 47 years at the Boston Clothing Store of Rhode Island retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Narragansett Fire Company of Warren for over 30 years, a former treasuer of the Catholic Order of Foresters and a member of St. Jean the Baptist Church in Warren. Besides his wife of 52 years he is survived by his daughter Donna G. Hawley of Warren, RI, two brothers Hubert Geoffrey of Warren, RI, and Edward Geoffrey of Barrington, RI, his sister Jacquline Sepe of Warren, RI, two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.He was the brother of the late Reginald Geoffrey and Jeannette Geoffrey. A Memorial service will be held in the Rhode Island Veterans Home, 480 Metacom Avenue, Bristol at their next regular scheduled service in January of 2003.
