Marcia Ann Zuehlke

Marcia Ann Zuehlke (Leaderer), beloved wife of Stephen Zuehlke, died peacefully in her home on Thursday, July 30, 2015. Marcie graduated with a B.A. degree from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York, and, after earning an R.N. degree, worked as an emergency department nurse, also in Syracuse, her place of birth. There she met and married Stephen. They lived in Fall River, Massachusetts, where she and Dr. Frank Lepreau with other community support started the areas first Hospice program. She devoted ten years to the training of hospice volunteers as the organizations Director of Volunteers. In addition to her husband, Stephen, with whom she celebrated 42 years of marriage, she is survived by her children, John, Mark, Ellen, Erika and Jessica and her grandchildren, Shaunna, Jakob, Andre, Oliva and Nathan and by many dear friends. Calling hours will be Sunday, August 2, 1915, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm followed by prayers and remembrances at Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth. A reception at the family home will follow.
