Marcia Hazel Logan

Marcia H. (Troy) Logan, 97, of Middletown, RI, passed away peacefully at home with her family and friends by her side, on Thursday, March 17, 2016. Born on March 5, 1919, in Newport, RI, she was the daughter of the late John and Clara (Dennis) Troy. Marcia led a full and long life dedicated to caring for and giving unselfishly to her loved ones and friends. Marcia was a very talented tap dancer and performed at the Paramount Theater in Newport. She loved bingo at the Knights of Columbus, yard sales and her soap operas. She worked many years as a galley worker on the navy base.Marcia is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Nance) Woodruff, her sister, Constance O'Neill, her seven grandchildren, Marcia (Aguiar) Mires, Mindi Aguiar, Deirdre Logan, Jennifer (Logan) Allen, Christina M. Logan, Richard W. Logan and Keir Logan, and three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.She was the mother of the late Richard Henry Logan, sister of the late Helen Dolphus, John Troy and Flossie Logan, as well as the mother-in-law of the late Christina A. Logan.A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at 11am in the Graceway Community Church, 215 Forest Avenue, Middletown, RI.
