Margaret D. Dowd

Middletown, RI - Margaret D. Dowd, 86, of 140 Tuckerman Avenue, Middletown, RI, died Saturday, February 28, 2009, at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. Born in Bridgewater, MA, on July 28, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Margaret Sheehan Dowd. Mrs. Dowd worked at General Electric for 30 years in several capacities, from assembler to foreman during her tenure. She is survived by her brother Richard Dowd of California, and her nephew Thomas Duncan of Nebraska. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at 11:00 am in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.Calling hours will be held Wednesday, March 4, 2009, from 10-11am in the Memorial Funeral Home.Burial will be private.
